Wedding Ideas: How To Make Your Day Even More Special

[ad_1]

Your wedding day should be one of the most special days of your life. To make sure this happens, you invariably spend months planning to ensure everything runs smoothly. But how can you make your wedding more memorable? We've put together some ideas. One great way to personalize your big and make it stand out in your memory is to write your own wedding vows. Do not just rely on 'I do', think about what you really want to say to your better half, and make sure you tell them.

You can also make the most of your wedding meal by doing something a bit different to the norm. Think about your favorite food or style of food – French, Italian, Chinese, or whatever it might be – and then put that on the menu instead of the usual wedding fare, which is not always that exciting. You could even have a variety of food and serve it as a buffet instead of a sit-down meal so it caters to all guests while still being interesting and making your day memorable.

To make your wedding really stand out in people's memories, you could consider having a theme. If you're after something a little bit wacky, then you could go for something like a Western or hippy-themed wedding. Alternately, fairy tales, Disney and Mardi Gras are all popular theme options. It's your day, though, so you can do what you want. If you want something more traditional, then having a seasonal theme is popular, such as having lots of flowers and pastel colors for a spring wedding.

Another massive part of the wedding day is the reception, so you could make the most of this platform by having a special event that you and your guests will never forget. If you really want to push the boat out, you could do something like have fairground rides for the children or get all your guests involved in party games or offer something such as horse-riding. You could also show your favorite home videos, or sometimes get a live band or a string quartet to come and play.

One of the key parts of your wedding day is the first dance between bride and groom, and an increasingly popular way of making weddings more memorable is to take dancing lessons in preparation for the occasion. This can be a great idea if you've got a favorite song or really want to show how good you are on the dance floor – your guests will certainly remember it. Another idea is to have an open bar, which always goes down well at weddings.
