Wedding Photography Ideas – Be a Professional With These Tips – Delivering the Final Product

[ad_1]

Well, here we are at the third and final article in the series. The wedding photography ideas that we will be discovering are going to be all about giving the final product to the newlyweds. Starting the day after the wedding we are going to look at reviewing the shoot, choosing photos, possible photo-shopping techniques, the final consult and delivery of the wedding album.

Let us absorb the wedding day went as planned, and you now have literally hundreds of photos on your various memory cards. It is time to start screening and separating these shots. The easiest way, of course, is to download them all onto your computer. Do not, I repeat do not erase the memory cards after downloading them as they may come in handy later. Having done that it is time to weed out the unusable shots. Open a new folder and put all the shots that you believe are just not good enough to use into it. You only want to keep the best to show your clients. Do not delete these shots as you may need to go back to them later.

Then you will need another folder for your photo list shots. Go down the list and retrieve all the list shots to that folder. As you check them off you might find some of them missing. You will probably find them in the unusable folder. Pull out any of these shots and put them in a new folder marked for photo-shopping. The remaining photos will probably fall into the following three categories: Posed shots, candid shots, or fun / artistic shots.

After you have looked over, and sorted every exposure taken on the wedding day, you can get to work putting together a presentation for the newlyweds when they return from their honeymoon. The first thing you want to do is photo-shop all the photo list images. If you have been working with digital photography for any length of time, you probably already have a system that you are familiar with, and that works for you. At this point in time you may wish to go back over the unusable shots and see if any are worthy of trying to fix.

Depending on what was contracted contractually, you can go ahead and put together a disc for the couples perusal. On it should be the photo list photos, the best of the posed and candid shots, and any of the fun, or artistic images that you feel are exciting enough to be included. Meet with the newlyweds and go through the disc picture by picture. If they need more time leave a copy of the disc with them and set a time for another meeting. They may even know exactly what they want, and you will come away with a list of photos for the album, and specified shots for enlargement as previously agreed upon.

Now it is a simple matter of going and printing up the required photos. Either at home, if you have the proper digital equipment, or at your favorite digital printing house. Having done this and putting the agreed upon package together, it is time to deliver it to the newly married couple and whatever friends, or relatives are necessary. At this time you should receive the balance of your fee, and the contract is fulfilled with all parties coming away happy. Now you may go back and clear your memory cards so you are ready for the next shoot. You may also pick out any spectacular photos for your portfolio or advertising.

I hope that this article series, filled with wedding photography ideas, has made this process enjoyable and satisfying for you, both artistically, and financially. Remember, photography is phun, and keep on clicking that shutter!
