When you think of weddings in California, your first thoughts may be of one on a beach, in the mountains, or, naturally, somewhere in or around Hollywood. Many of the cable cars are equipped for weddings, although the seating is rather limited. They have room for 35 people to be listed, with a few additional spots for 10 other people to squeeze in and stand during the ceremony. Amenities include AM-FM CD stereo system with speakers, and a PA system over which announcements or even the ceremony can be directed.

In addition, the cable car company will provide blankets in case the night turns chilly and plastic ponchos if it should rain. Also, the driver will continue to maintain contact with the Dispatcher as well as other drivers, including the safety of you and your party.

You are allowed to bring food and drinks aboard for weddings in California on a San Francisco cable car. A trash can will be provided for disposing of litter and refuse, and you can also request that an ice chest and ice be provided. This will incur a small fee, but it would keep you or members of your family or wedding party from having to carry one back and forth.
