Choosing the Perfect Wedding Venue

[ad_1]

Decide your wedding budget

Put simply this is the largest factor in choosing your wedding venue. Decide a budget and stick to it! Easier said than done we know but making this decision early on will save you heartache in the long run. If you can not shift the budget to have your dream wedding venue then consider switching the day – Sundays, Fridays and even mid week weddings are becoming increasingly popular and are often available at a discounted rate.

The perfect timing
Some wedding venues get booked up many months and even years in advance. No soon as that engagement ring is placed on your finger then we suggest you hot foot it to a computer and check out "wedding venues" in Google. The earlier you can make plans the more chance you have of securing your dream location.

What's right for you
It's your day not theirs. Repeat over. And over again. It's the mantra of any every discerning bride. Decide on a venue that best suits you. Perhaps it's a full on fairytale in a castle, or a low key line dance in the village hall – whatever is your dream then stick to it – no what your mother says!

The guest list
Does that third cousin, twice removed really need to make the guest list? Be strict on the list and you can spend more on the venue. Consider getting married later in the day so you only pay for one meal, rather than the more traditional lunch and evening buffet option.

Is it included?
Many wedding venues have a basic package with extras such as catering excluded. Make sure you ask what exactly is included when you visit the venue. We would not want pops having a heart attack when the bill comes in! And there's always room to negotiate – you're not being cheeky in asking for a discount just initiating.

Make a song and dance of it
Before you decide on your consider what entertainment you and your fiancé would like. A brass band? A solo singer? A game of bingo? To a large extent your entertainment will determine what venue you choose.
