Colorado Outdoor Weddings

[ad_1]

At any time of year, the breathtaking scenery through Colorado provides the perfect natural backdrop for a beautiful outdoor wedding. From snowy mountain peaks at high elevations to The Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, wedding venues throughout the state provide a uniquely Colorado experience. The changing seasons in Colorado give each time of year its own feel.

One of the most beautiful times of the year in Colorado is the late summer and early fall when the leaves begin to change. Mountainsides will be covered with deep reds, oranges, and golden yellows. At this time of year, weddings at venues along the continental division will be especially spectacular. Perhaps instead of using rose petals, the bride may choose to throw golden aspen leaves. The wintertime does not hold back some couples who prefer to exchange vows amongst winter wonders with falling snowflakes.

Rocky Mountain National Park is the place for a true mountain wedding. The park has numerous areas to hold outdoor ceremonies, with many places close by to hold a reception. Outdoor venues in the mountains allow for a couple to get married amidst an aspen grove or a canopy of ponderosa pines. A ceremony may also be held alongside meandering river or waterfall. This type of wedding is usually smaller and more intimate. A wedding ceremony may also be held at an outdoor amphitheater which would allow for a greater number of guests. Towns in and around the Rocky Mountain National Park area have many beautiful venues for an outdoor reception. Estes Park, for example, has numerous facilities for an outdoor reception as well as lodging.

One can certainly take advantage of booking a wedding at one of Colorado's mountain resorts in the spring and summer months, where rates will be lower in the off-season. Colorado's Rocky Mountains have some of the most beautiful and diverse natural wildflowers. Crested Butte Colorado is especially known for its wildflowers, often referred to as the wildflower capital of Colorado.

Outdoor weddings in a downtown setting can be just as nice, especially for guests who will not have as far to travel from the airport. Denver's Botanic Gardens and Hudson Gardens in Littleton for instance, offer the ultimate outdoor experiences for a wedding ceremony and reception within the city. The grounds in these parks are filled with various gardens offering numerous unique wedding sites within the park. The natural surroundings of foliage, flowers, and lily ponds can make a ceremony a truly elegant and peaceful experience.
