Dream Wedding – The Time, Place & People

[ad_1]

Weddings are wonderful! Attending a wedding can enable you to access a variety of emotions all in one event. The feelings of love, loss, life's transitions, maturation, memories shared prior to matrimony and familial bonds are all to be explored and experienced at a wedding.

Weddings are a time when family and friends come together to celebrate, commemorate and conclude a new page in one's life. The amazing expressions of love from family, friends and acquaintances comfort, secure and secure the heart.

We had a very special wedding day unlike most. Karla and I come from two different countries – Canada and the United States respectively. When we were married there were many preparations involved beyond the typical wedding. I had to coordinate the travel for my grooms men and care for their accommodations. Not to mention I had to get their tuxedos for them before they could ever try them on for proper fitting.

The added stress of marrying a woman from abroad and participating in the coordinating of the wedding allowed me as a man to experience what women go through to plan a wedding. Many men remain happily clueless concern all of the pre-wedding matters. I myself in this case was not exempt but got a full glimpse of the goings on.

Karla is an amazing organizer and gives specific attention to every detail. She has a keen eye and elegant style that enables her to stand out in all she does. Her loving added Touches to everything makes every aspect of a wedding beautiful and delightful to experience. Karla chose to implement a beach theme in which she decorated the tables with sea shells, sea sand and tea lights.

Karla's dress was exquisite and gorgeous, but not as breathtaking as she herself. We had an outdoor wedding at the Ancaster Old Mill, Ontario on September 3, 2006. We were warmly surrounded by family and friends. The wedding minister officiated the ceremony with such grace and an added personal touch, that my father said it was the best ceremony he had ever seen performed.

We were blessed to conduct the wedding outdoors and that with a 90% chance of rain just days before. Hurricane Ernesto apparently had followed my parents up from Florida bringing much rain that weekend. Thankfully however the rain subsided just before our 6pm ceremony and the sun came out in time for pictures afterwards. The Creator and Almighty Matchmaker that greeted us together also showed Himself strong to in regard to the weather.

The celebration followed the wedding ceremony was both lovely and life-giving. My best man Richard Vera from Maui, Hawaii wave a toast and made mention of our 15 years of history. Richard recognized that God above had blessed this union and in bringing Karla to me fulfilled my dreams. Karla and I spoke about each other from the heart, reciting our relational history and journey of love leading up to marriage. Together we recognized and thanked our parents for their unpresented contribution to our lives.

The help Karla's brides maids cave her to prepare for this lovely event was monumental. They even helped further to remove all of the decorations and gifts before we left to go on honeymoon. This north American alliance forged between this American and his Canadian bride came together easily. Although we only had four months to prepare for the wedding, following our engagement in Paris, everything worked out rather well.

Now September 6th we are in New Zealand in transit to Fiji, where we shall be on honeymoon. Karla is catching up on some much needed sleep (on a nearby couch) as she recooperates from the wedding and international travel. I the author am writing to declare the remarkable works of our God – the Almighty Matchmaker!
