Location, Location, Location as the saying goes. Take the time to brainstorm of where to hold your lesbian wedding and reception.

Toss out all manner of ideas and locations. Yes, you may have a place stuck in your brain from years ago. Just keep an open mind now. You do not want to take a chance of just going to where you want and not considering anything else. What if you did not take into account some fabulous places that later you regret you did not think about?

How close or far away are you planning on the location? Is it convenient to folks traveling to your lesbian wedding or maybe it does not matter to you.

Do you want the surroundings of an elegant ballroom or exquisitely decorated dining room? In a castle, mansion, hotel.

How about a country setting? A log cabin, a barn, along the side of a lake or river, in a large field, on the top of a mountain, by a waterfall, at your favorite fishing spot.

Is it a garden wedding you want? In your own backyard, a friend's backyard, by a koi pond, next to a fountain, a special botanical garden, a function facility with a special garden and gazebo, a nature sanctuary.

How about on board ship? An Olivia cruise, a Rosie's cruise, an elegant yacht, a steam powered paddle boat, a sport fishing boat, a whale watch, a local tour boat, and more. Does anyone get seasick?

Do you want to have a reception with light refreshments or an eight course dinner and open bar or somewhere in between?

These are all things to think about and to get settled first.

As long as that date is available to all the important players in your wedding and whoever is overseeing your vows, then immediately get a deposit down, if necessary, because those locations go extremely fast.

Once that is completed you can move on to your next step in planning your lesbian wedding.
