Kid's Menu For Wedding Reception

[ad_1]

Very few weddings these days seem to include children at the reception. For various reasons such as cost, noise, and adults drinking, many of my clients are choosing an adult only wedding reception. It seems to be quite a family controversial figuring out how to delicately explain to each guest that their adorable little children can not attend the wedding reception, because the flower girl (niece of the bride) and ring bearer (nephew of the groom) will be in attendance.

For the brides that do choose to include children, they can make it a lot easier for the parents and their guests if they keep the children entertained. Brides should first speak to the venue and ask what they offer in terms of entertainment, some golf courses and other venues have a tv room for kids for when they are finished dinner and an older niece or nephew could be asked to keep them occupied. But before they leave to another location, the children will need to be entertained at the table during dinner and speeches.

When ordering your wedding stationery have your stationer include a few kids menus that have fun wedding related games and activities for the kids. Provide your younger guests with crayons and marks that coordinate with your wedding colors. Matching the pencil crayons with your centerpieces will keep your style and elegance at the forefront of each table. Have your stationer print kids menus on the same gorgeous paper that you will be using for your table numbers and wedding programs.

The games and mazes should refer to your wedding theme. ie if your last married initial will be S, find an "s" shaped maze for the children to work on. If your centerpieces are daisies, then coordinate the games to match, such as daisy tic-tac-toe. Word scrambles are also fun for kids, make sure to use wedding theme words and provide the answers at the bottom of the card such as bride, groom, marriage, love.
