Planning a Destination Mountain Wedding in New Zealand

[ad_1]

Destination weddings are becoming very popular. People have started a trend of taking themselves and a few close family members and friends to a great destination, getting married, and then returning home to have a more relaxed reception with all of their family and friends gathered to celebrate the marriage. One of the most popular destinations for these weddings is New Zealand. The beautiful landscapes and largely untouched countryside make for beautiful backdrops for weddings of all sizes and styles. One option that couples have when choosing New Zealand is to have a destination mountain wedding, situated among the scenic mountains of the countryside.

A popular mountain range for such a wedding is the Remarkables, which overlook Lake Wakatipu near Queenstown in the South Island of New Zealand. Whether you want to get married in summer or winter or one of the seasons in between, this area really does offer some truly spectacular scenery; from golden tussocks through to thick layers of snow.

Imagine spending the morning getting into your attire and then hopping aboard a helicopter at Queenstown Airport which will transport you to your venue, high atop the mountain ranges! After your wedding ceremony you will be transported to another location, during which time you will see some of the most beautiful scenery. The photos are not the only thing you will take away with you – the memory of your wedding day will stick with you for years to come and what an amazing story to tell your grandchildren!

A destination mountain wedding can be arranged for any size of party, allowing the couple to bring as many (or as few) people with them as they wish. This type of wedding does need to be booked well in advance, though, to ensure that reservations of officials, hotels, halls, and other facilities are made in plenty of time so that the couple gets the exact destination that they want. The further in advance the reservations are booked, the more likely a couple is to have their wedding at their original destination of choice. Plus, this reservation will allow for timely planning of the rest of the events and elements that need to be taken care of.

Couples will need to determine how many people are following them to their destination mountain wedding, figure out if there are accommodations for everyone, determine who is paying for those accommodations, and arrange airfare and other travel that will be necessary. In some cases, the couple will pay for all of their guests or family members to come with them, while other couples might invite people on the premise that they pay their own way and make their own reservations.

Planning a destination mountain wedding isn’t as complicated as many people make it out to be. Couples can find facilities to take care of a lot of the last minute details, allowing them more time to focus on the bigger elements like plane tickets, car hire services, and making sure that all their friends and family are able to get to New Zealand at the right time and for the right price. Of course, it helps to plan well in advance so that last minute issues can be resolved and so that there is less rushing to get things taken care of before leaving for the big day.
