[ad_1]

The design and layout of a pub or restaurant is essential especially to those with a limited space. Space is perhaps one of the most important things to consider when you are planning to open a pub or restaurant with a small space; knowing the perfect layout and the right furniture is very important.

There are so many advantages a restaurant owner can have with a small restaurant, like having a lower maintenance costs and rent, a much lesser kitchen staff and wait staff. Also the initial design costs for a restaurant with a small dining area is far lower than with a bigger space. However, you will be having very difficult challenges with the design of a small pub or restaurant.

The success and failure of your restaurant will depend on the design, layout and the choice of your furniture. Customers of course will keep coming back if they experience a comfortable, cozy and intimate venue. But will never come back again with unpleasant, crowded, cluttered and badly designed restaurant. Below are some few tips on maximizing the small space your restaurant had.

Don’t use big round tables

I highly recommend using small square tables rather than big round tables in small restaurants. It doesn’t mean that your restaurant isn’t capable of hosting large parties for the reason that it has limited space. You can accommodate big parties if need arises with the help of these squared shape small tables. These can easily rearrange and combined to have bigger tables with more seating capacity that can capable of accommodating all the guests in the party.

Place a bar and counter seating

If you want your customers and wait staff to move comfortable around despite of having a small space, then putting a bar and counter seating at your establishment is a good idea. Placing a bar next to the kitchen will not only improved the spacing – it can also be a nice venue for customers who want to meet new friends and talk with someone new. Sitting in a bar with high bar stools can attract customers which normally just ordering regular drinks and food to order alcoholic drinks which help increase your income.

Use long banquet seating

The answer for great circulation in your restaurant is by having a long banquet installed against one wall with chairs on the other side and tables on the center. This kind of set-up will be easy for the wait staff to access the tables and customers to access the bathroom in an easy way without passing a clutter of tables and interrupting other guests. This can help you save more space which you can use to put additional tables which can seat more guests that will results to a much higher income.
