My wedding expertise comes from assisting in several weddings, and I am currently in my third marriage of seventeen happy years. It took several practice weddings but this time I have a keeper. We have helped to de-stress hundreds of weddings before and after with great success. Follow our proven wedding success secrets.
1. Make time each day to do something you enjoy. You can rationalize that you do not have time, but a few minutes for a brisk walk, or to watch a sunset with your partner, is well worth the time. Keep the love flowing by taking short love breaks.
2. Take long deep breaths each day. Oxygen elevates your mood. When you get stressed shallow breathing takes over. Have you not noticed where you carry your tension? In your upper back and shoulders, of course. Sit down focus in that area and breath your tension away.
3. Drink plenty of water to flush your system of those party toxins. Too busy to drink water and hydrate your body? Your body will rebel by feeling fatigued and tired. Make a point of keeping your water in-take high. Reward yourself with a glass of water and a deep breath. Your body will thank you, and your wedding pictures will glow.
4. Exercise daily to stimulate endorphin (mood elevators) production, and to help you sweat out those wedding party and stress toxins. Stress produces extra toxins in your body which creates more stress. Schedule in your favorite exercise like dancing, yoga, or walking in nature. Your time investment will pay big rewards for your well being, inner peace, and your glowing face in your wedding pictures.
5. Schedule a massage or spa treatment to help keep your body, and mind balanced. During the last couple of weeks before your wedding massage is essential to keep your stress level manageable. Also include spa services as a part of your wedding party gifts.
6. Schedule a retreat a few weeks or a month before your wedding to work out any hidden issues that might surface after the wedding. Most couples spend their time and money focusing on the wedding and neglect preparing for their long journey ahead. A couples retreat will empower you with communication tools to negotiate conflict.
7. Create a vision of what you want from your relationship and allow this vision to keep you focused on love. Most couples start a marriage hiring for the best instead of building a solid foundation for love.
