Wedding Venue Ideas

[ad_1]

No two weddings are the same, with every couple having a different opinion on where, when and how they would like their big day to proceed. As such, there are a huge variety of wedding venues available across the UK, each offering different experiences.

Many couples feel obliged to have a church or registry office wedding followed by a reception at another venue, whilst others prefer to have a service and reception in the same location – which of course must be licenced in order to host ceremonies.

Starting to look for prospective venues can be a daunting process, so it is important to consider your budget and only look at venues that cater to both of your tastes – or at least a compromise! The list of available wedding venues are endless, so a good start is to concentrate your search to a preferred area or search radius. Possible wedding venue or reception ideas could include:

– Luxury hotels: Such a venue is available in both urban and rural locations, depending on your preferences. Modern luxury hotels or period gems with landscaped gardens and stunning views can be hired. Hotels can be a less stressful option as all your guests can stay in one location and not have too much of a distance to travel to bed after a tiring day of merriment. Most hotels will offer a bridal or specialist suite where you can relax and get ready before the big day and of course such a room provides a sanctuary after the celebrations. As well providing a convenient and high class venue, luxury hotels can supply all the catering or entertainment needed for a wedding, reducing the need for phoning around different suppliers when planning your wedding.

– Country House or Barn setting: If you like the idea of celebrating your big day surrounded by the natural beauty that the English countryside has to offer, then a grand country house or smaller romantic barn setting may be for you. Of course which one you choose depends on the size of your wedding party and whether you would prefer a more intimate historic venue or one draped in opulence. Choosing such a setting gives you the opportunity to put your own design touch on the event by being involved in the decoration, catering and entertainment for the event. Whilst such locations welcome themselves to mid-summer, they are also ideal to creating a romantic winter wonderland wedding scene.

– Outdoor/Garden venue: most suited to summer and spring weddings, this venue can be adapted with the use of marquees or tented arrangements. Think floating fabrics, meadow flowers and summer fruits for a romantic idyll. Many people choose to get married in their own gardens in the comfort of familiar surroundings whilst saving money on a venue.
