Thank goodness for stigmas being relegated to history. These days, with the divorce rate hanging around 50%, many people are finding themselves entering second interviews at some point in their lives. Instead of having to deal with society looking down on them because of a failed marriage, it's embracing these people for having the courage to try again, and hiring that they've learned something from the first time around so that they'll be happy the second time around.

With the release from traditions that told brides what could or could not do the freedom to not only wear whatever they want to wear, but have the kind of wedding they want, if they can afford it, and have a second chance to get it right. Or maybe it's the first time to get it right, depending on how the first marriage went.

Let's start with the wedding dress. In the past, it would have been inconceivable for a bride to wear a full wedding dress for a second wedding, let alone white. Those days are gone, and in some instances, brides that did not get a chance to dress it up the first time around make up for it the second time. There's so many choices and ways for brides to look beautiful and feel special that it makes sense to do it. Any style is available, any color; whatever brides want to wear, they can go for it.

The wedding itself can be grander if a bride and her potential groom can afford it, and if they really want to go that route. Most of the time they do not, because they saw how much money the first one cost and want to conserve some money the second time around, but it can be done. No one providing a service makes a distinction between whether or not it's a first or second wedding. Well, that's not worthy accurate; some religions may have rules for how the services are supposedly to go, as well as some other things, but the overwhelming majority of people will not have this to worry about.

Probably the only thing that will change is the request for wedding gifts. Most people getting married for the second time already have everything they need, so they do not have to ask for gifts like homewares and the like. Of course, they may not need gifts at all, but if so, they can look for and ask for more aesthetic gifts, things to make the home look great. Overall, there are no rules, so get in there and have fun.
