There is so much to plan and so little time! Its important to have a written plan and to check off the jobs in a time line. All you really want is a smooth flowing day when everyone is there and the marriage is taking place. Dramas and disasters are not something you want taking place so remember these key points when you are planning your wedding day.
This is a short list for the months leading up to the big day.
You have probably set your date so …
The most important task:
-Setting a budget !! How much you will spend.
You will need to set a time to decide upon and meet the people to make it happen:
-Bridesmaids and groomsman
-Flower girls and ring bearers
-A clergyman or pastor
-A photographer
-A florist
-A caterer
-The guest list (the hardest sometimes to choose)
-Some weddings require a coordinator to help with the music, floral and color arrangements.
There are three important locations that also need to be chosen:
-A church or ceremony location
-A reception hall or venue
-A honeymoon !! (the best of the three, do you need passports?)
The preparations will need a few crucible things to be bought also:
-Wedding invitations and stationary
-The wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses and veils
-The groom and groomsman's suits
-A really grand wedding cake!
There are a few smaller however important details:
-A guest registry
-Transport to and from the wedding (limousine etc)
-A diary of all gifts so you can post thank you notes
-Accommodation for family and friends interstate etc.
-A marriage license (fairly important)
-Place advert in local paper notifying of wedding
-Start changing surnames! (Exciting)
Once you have start getting organized and setting dates for you wedding things will start to roll along nicely and your big day is one step closer!
