[ad_1]

Finding a wedding gown that accentuates your beauty can be overwhelming! As easy as it may sound, looking for the perfect wedding dress is a herculean task. Firstly, bridal gowns come in a wide variety of styles that make the task even more confusing.

Secondly, if you don’t know your body type or don’t understand what will suit your figure, then it becomes extra tough.

This article aims to help brides-to-be to know what amazing varieties of wedding gowns are available out there in market and what dress can suit you best.

There are different styles of bridal gowns to suit different body types and personal tastes:

The Mermaid style

For women with a curvy figure or an hour glass shape, mermaid gown is the best choice. A mermaid dress accentuates the curves most flatteringly. Around the knees, the gown flows out which looks even more stylish.

Mermaid style is one of the most sophisticated styles. If you are confident about yourself, go for this gown. This gown accentuates the curvaceous figure most perfectly. However petite women should not opt for this gown, as the mermaid style tends to make them appear even shorter.

A-Line wedding gown

Also known as the Princess style wedding dress, the A-Line style is suitable for almost all brides. The A-line style has no particular marked waist. For instance, if you would like something that hides your bulging tummy, this type of gown works best for you. If you have the Rectangle body type or the Inverted Triangle shape, go for A-Line style gown.

Sheath style bridal dress

Also known as column wedding dress, the sheath wedding dress has a narrow shape that tightly hugs the body and flows straight from top to bottom. Unlike Empire style or A-Line dress; the hem in the sheath gown does not flair out at all.

As this type of dress is body-hugging and has a slim appearance, it is perfect for short brides on the slim side as it tend to make them appear taller. Sheath gown doesn’t allow for any flaws. Hence, if you are even a tiny bit heavy or are not confident about your figure, don’t opt for this gown as it hugs the body and shows off all your curves.

Empire style bridal dress

Empire style wedding gowns have a high waistline that appears right underneath the bust. And the fabric below the waist flows down gracefully to the floor like a slimmer skirt. Empire bridal dress is ideal for women with small bust.

Ball gown dress

It is that Cinderella type of wedding dress with fitted bodice and full skirt. Ball gown bridal dress suits the pear-shaped body type the best, as it emphasizes on the waistline and hides the heavier lower part of the body. Short brides should stay away from this type of gown as a full skirt would look quite unimpressive on their small frames.

Don’t go for any wedding gown that looked appealing to you in a bridal magazine or a fashion glossy. Remember what may looked great in a magazine, may not look impressive on you.

Before going out to any bridal store or buying from any online bridal shop, find out about your body type. No matter what designer bridal dresses you choose be it, Casablanca bridal gown or Mary’s Bridal dress, make sure it accentuates your assets. Once you know, what flatters your body type; you will enjoy looking for your dream wedding dress!
