Beauty Tips for a Healthy Glow

[ad_1]

Many women prefer makeup that enhances their natural beauty rather than looking like they painted on their face. With so many products and opinions out there, it can be difficult to determine what products to try and what is simply not necessary. For those who like to keep it simple, here are some basic tips to get that lovely, healthy glow.

1. Healthy Skin

When it comes to skin, ignore all of the tanning commercials. The most important way to make sure your skin is glowing and vibrant, is to keep it healthy. Pick a face cleanser that matches your skin type to prevent blemishes and dry skin. Apply lotion with restoring vitamins, such as Vitamin E, daily to help it recover from exposure to the sun through the day. Use an exfoliate weekly to help remove dirt and dead skin cells in order to let the young, new cells shine through.

2. Enhancing Makeup

While the makeup in neon colors quickly catches your attention on the shelf, it is more likely to steal all of the attention from your face, rather than enhance your natural beauty. Instead, go for brown or black eyeliner with mascara. For eye shadow, stick with colors that enhance your eye color and blend well with your skin tone. If you have naturally rosy cheeks, skip the blush, but if you tend to be pail, add a modest amount of a pink shade to the upper check. Lipstick or gloss can enhance your lips, but make sure you pick a color that resembles your natural lip color. In other words, most women will use pink or nude rather than vibrant red.

3. A Beautiful Smile

A beautiful smile is arguably one of the most important features of a beautiful face. Rather than using home whiteners, keep your teeth clean and healthy by brushing and flossing regularly. Avoiding soda and sugary foods can help prevent plaque buildup and discoloration. Some foods, such as strawberries, are natural teeth whiteners. Do have your teeth polished by the dentist every six months, and if your teeth are severely discolored, have your dentist whiten your teeth professionally.

4. Healthy Hair

When it comes to hair, women often face missing issues. For some, their hair is too dry, for others it is too greasy. Cater your hair treatment to the type of hair you have. Do get your hair trimmed regularly and use a quality shampoo and conditioner for your hair type. Always protect your hair when using heat and find a style that's easy and natural for you to do.
