The Wen Hair Care System was created by Chaz Dean and has totally changed the way we take care of our hair. I found this system to work for me with a few changes.
The hair care system requires you to only condition your hair which is great for dry and damaged hair. Most hair shampoos strip your hair of its natural oils and leave your hair dry and brittle. That just-washed-squeaky-clean feeling is something we have all become accustomed to through our lives and using a hair care system that does not deliver on that squeaky-clean feeling is something you may find hard getting used to. The idea that your hair can be cleaned without shampooing is just perfect for those who could do with the extra 3 minutes.
My scalp becomes excessively dry in winter and because I have dark hair, dry flakes are easy to see. Unfortunately, the Wen hair care system did not fix this problem though it helped a little. Today, I use an anti-dandruff shampoo, rinse, towel dry and apply 2 pumps of the cleansing conditioner to my hair as a leave-in conditioner and my hair feels great!
The Re Moist Intensive Hair Treatment is absolutely amazing if you could spare 30 minutes every 6 weeks. I think it is because of this treatment that my hair has started to become more manageable and as soft as spun silk. I regularly receive compliments from strangers and collections about my hair. My hairdresser even passed a comment about how healthy my hair is. The longer your hair is, the older the ends are and I have calculated my ends to be about 5 years old. That's 5 years of washing, drying, styling, hot ironing, swimming in salt water and chemicals, pulling into pony tails, sleeping on and brushing. This system has radically improved the health of my hair.
The styling creme that comes with the system is definitely one of the best I have come across. I have been used to using the best products and this styling creme has a hold like no other. Your hair feels free to bounce and still keeps its shape.
I recommend this suite of products to anyone wanting soft, beautiful hair without the harsh chemicals. I hope Chaz Dean comes up with an anti-dandruff system. I will be the first to try it, for sure!
