The Vichy Skin Care line of products is a is a premium brand of skin cosmetics founded in 1931 and named after the French town, Vichy. Vichy the town is known for its hot springs which in fact in the main source of water found in any of their cosmetics. Vichy, or Vichy Laboratories as its more commonly branded as, is owned by L'Oreal.
There are a fair few products in the Vichy skin care line including ten moisturizers and four products dedicated to eye care. The main anti-aging ingredients used are that of Pro-Xylane (anti-ager and hydrating element) and Isobioline (similar ingredient to collagen). Retinol is also used in its Reti-C Intensive Corrective Care and Reti-C Eyes Intensive Corrective Care products. As mentioned in other reviews Retinol can be irritant so before selecting these product check to make sure the product will not irritate your skin. Our Conclusion
We have no doubt that Vichy Skin Care and Vichy Laboratories have many fantastic products in their skin care range when it comes to anti-aging and wrinkle creams. Many users have had a positive experience so that is a good thing. On the other hand we would have liked to see the key anti-aging ingredients being used such as Argireline or maybe Hyaluronic Acid. Also Vichy do not have a dedicated anti-aging process which is a bit disappointing. Many supporting products need to be purchased and used in conjuction with one another rather than having a product with a 2-3 step application that incorporates a full skin care regime. Not only is this a hassle and can in some cases result in confusion for the user, it can also lead to an increase in overall expenses.
