[ad_1]

You've heard the horror stories of Godzilla diva brides, tipped over cakes, and grooms that fault at the alter. You certainly do not want to experience any of these special events! In order to have a beautiful wedding, here are ten things you should do beforehand.

# 1 Relax

It's easier said than done, but you need a day to do nothing but relax in the week before your big day. This may be a spa trip with your bridesmaids or shopping in your favorite stores for honeymoon apparel. Whatever relaxes and calms you works best.

# 2 Eat

While you may want to drop a couple more pounds before fitting into your gown, not eating on the day of your wedding is a recipe for disaster. It's far too easy to pass out while standing up there reciting your vows. It does not have to a huge meal, but at least have a little food in your stomach.

# 3 Compromise

Do not throw a complete diva fit when something is not going your way. Everyone knows you want the perfect wedding and that may mean compromising on a few things. Remember that "you catch more flies with honey" and just say thank you sometimes.

# 4 Use Your Regular Beauty Treatments

This is really important because trying a new facial now could you a complexion you do not want for your special day! Now is not the time to try a new hairstyle, makeup, or even soap. Stick to your normal beauty time. You know the results you get.

# 5 Make a List

Make a list of things that simply can not be forgotten today. This includes your rings, the glasses for the toast, your suitcase, the airline tickets, and a whole slew of other important things. If you do not write all this down, you're likely to forget some of it in your rush out the down. On that note …

# 6 Slow Down

It's time to slow down and take a deep breath or two. You've got a long day ahead of you and a few moments to gather your wits about you will go a long way in preparing yourself for what lies ahead.

# 7 Let Your Friends Help You

Sometimes, you may want to do everything yourself, such as checking in with the caterers, the band, and the florist. However, your friends can help you do this and it will take a little of the load off of you. Let them help you.

# 8 Take a Few Minutes to Reflect on Your Soon-to-be-Spouse

This is one thing that each of you need to do. Just about everyone has doubles right before walking down the aisle. They wonder if it's the right thing to do. You've come this far and you know you love each other. You would not have said yes unless you were ready. Take a moment, reflect on your love for your other half, and remember what it is that made you fall in love. It will go along ways to easing your mind.

# 9 Pay the Official

If you have already taken care of this, do not forget to do so before you leave off for your reception. Unfortunately, many people simply forget this step in the exclusion of things. Be sure you thank him or her, too.

# 10 Say Thank You

You could not have dropped off this without everyone's help. You owe a lot of people thanks. Do not forget the thank you notes for gifts and cards, but also to those that lent you a hand. It's the little things that matter most. This includes the caterer, the wedding car company, and the florist. However, you may find that the businesses that you deal with, such as the wedding car hire company and the caterer send you a thank you note, too.
