4 Ways to Make Your Wedding Dress Shimmer

[ad_1]

Many brides want to make sure their wedding dresses stand out during their wedding. Something many of them like is having their wedding dresses shine, so as to catch the eyes of their guests. There are four basic ways to do this.

1. Satin, satin, and more satin. Satin is what a lot of wedding dresses are made of, and it's a very shiny material. If a bride went with an all white dress with very little accouterments, embellishments, and kept the dress as smooth as possible, the dress would end up being very shiny and eye catching. The problem is that the dress would also look very plain, even if it was form fitting, and might not be all that comfortable.

2. Beads and beading can be very shiny, and the beautiful thing about beads is that you can pick different colors and they'll catch the light in the room and make the dress stand out. Even black beads, which may seem to clash with a white wedding dress, will pick up the light and be very sparkly. The problem with beads is that they can take a lot of time to put onto a wedding dress, and if you do not put enough of them on the dress it's almost a waste of time.

3. Crystals are definitely the best way to go if you're looking for real sparkle on your wedding dress. The best thing about crystals is that you can space them out and get a great effect, especially if you decide on a balanced pattern of some sort. You can put a lot on as well for a more eye catching experience. The downside is that crystals are very expensive, and for the most part they can not be sewn into most dresses, which means some other type of adhesive has to be used.

4. Jewelry is probably the most economical thing to do to make a wedding dress sparkle. A set of pearls that comes down onto the wedding dress is a great accessory. Wearing a sparkling brooch is a very nice touch, but you can also add a larger brooch at the waist, either in the middle or on the sides, that will help the wedding dress stand out. Something some women will do is purchase sets of earrings and have them sewn into the dress at certain points for accented highlights, and no one will know they were supposed to be earrings. It does not have to be diamond jewelry either; as long as it's shiny, it can work wonders.
