Weddings are certainly a costly affair! Even a budget wedding costs a few grand. Whether spending $3,000 or $30,000, you need to know where to cut corners. When including your pet in your wedding, bridal shower, engagement party or any other event leading up to the big day, don’t go for the costly dog tux or dog bridal gown. The less expensive dog tuxes and dog bridal gowns are just as cute as the ones with a high price tag. You’ll get the same reaction from guests wether your dog is wearing a $25.00 dog tux or a dog bridal gown verses $150 dog tux or dog bridal gown. Plus, you’ll have more money left for accessories!
What? You did not consider accessories? So your dog is looking sharp in his tux and his every day collar and leash. Yikes! It’s like wearing tennis shoes with a suit! Only a dog collar encrusted in rhinestones will look proper with a dog tux or dog bridal gown. If rhinestones are not for you, just make sure you use a fancy dog leash and dog collar for the big event.
For a female dog, consider a rhinestone dog barrette to top of the ensemble or a barrette in the same color as the bridesmaid dresses. Their are also dog barette’s in a fun shapes such as a tiaras. If you are still under budget, a swarovski crystal dog charm will do! Otherwise, their are many fabulous lower-priced dog charms available.
If a dog tux is not your style, or your dog will not tolerate clothing, go for a dog collar that looks like a shirt collar with a bow tie. These novelty dog collars are perfect for formal affairs. Many people put their dog in his tux for show at the start of the party, knowing he may not wear it all night. If that is your plan, replace the ensemble with a dog tux collar that he is sure to tolerate all night long.
When it is all said and done you should be able to purchase pet formal attire and accessories for less than some of those high priced dog gowns and dog tuxedos.
