6 Easy Steps To Create Updos For Long Hair

[ad_1]

I have been experimenting with different updos over the past month for different lengths of hair. I finally came up with a perfect updo for long hair. I think this hairstyle could be worn to a fancy dinner or to a relaxing day on the beach. If you add flowers, sparkly bobby pins, or headband it makes this style look a little more elegant, but if it's a day at the beach let some hair fall so it's natural (It looks cute messy).

For this hairstyle you will need:

Curling Iron (I used a 1 inch Conair)

Teasing comb

bobby pins

Hairspray

Fancy clips, bobby pins, or flowers (optional)

Follow these five easy steps to create an undo for long hair:

Step One: Curl your hair. I took about one and a half inch sections and curled them away from my face. I made my curls looser to make this hairstyle look more natural.

Step Two: Take a section of hair starting behind the bangs. Tease this to add some volume. After that tease the sides as well. If the curls seem to be falling out on top because you just teased the hair, thats a good thing! You want the top of your hair to look wavy / straight.

Step Three: Pull one side of your hair to the back and pin. It's almost like you are creating a half updo. Repeat on the other side of your head.

Tip: Try to pin section in the middle (the should overlap). It is easier to hide the bobby pins later if the are close together.

Step Four: Next take one one inch section of hair and bring to the back (where the bobby pins are). Hold the hair with your index finger and start to make a circle with the hair. Make sure you leave a little bit of the end hanging out. The last thing is to bobby pin the little circle as close to where you pinned the half undo. (If the bobby pins overlap that's a good thing)

Step Five: Repeat this for the rest of your hair.

Step Six: Pull down some hairs around your face. If the hair is straight make sure to curl them away from your face. Next Curl the ends of your bangs away from your face as well. The last thing to do is put some pretty flowers or sparkly bobby pins in your hair.

This easy updo is perfect for any special occasion or just a night with friends.

Try this style for your next special occasion.
