Obviously the dress is the key item for your bridal look, but let's not forget the all important hair style. In the past, bridal hair was often over the top and stiff, but in recent years, although some brides still go for the formal look, a wide range of other looks have developed, with everything from hippy to chic trotting down the aisle.
One important thing to take into account when deciding on your hairstyle is the style of the dress you have chosen. After all, the most beautiful hairstyle in the world can be made to look rubbish if it completely clashes with the dress or the rest of the wedding look.
If you've gone for a very simple dress, then you may want to keep your hair and makeup the same and go for natural colors and minimally coiffed hair. Or to contrast with the simple outfit you could use unusual and dramatic hair to really make a statement. For a laid back look, loose tumbling curls can work particularly well, as they give a great laid back vibe, and are also very flattering to the face, meaning you make the ideal blushing bride.
If your wedding is a black tie or evening affair then it's likely that you want to go for all out Hollywood glamor for your bridal look, so an elegant chignon or some 50's style curls will fit the bill. Accompanied by some pillar box red lipstick and your most sparkly jewelry, you'll be the bridal embodiment of starlet glamour.
Perhaps your wedding will be more of a fairytale come true type affair? Well in that case, you've probably gone for a larger than life dress, so you can either add to the princess style with backcombed, curled mane, or perhaps more pared down loose, tumbling curls would suit.
For a completely unique look, then give your hair some personality with some chunky slices of color flashing underneath, from with clip in extensions or a more permanent change by coloring your hair! Wear your hair straight and sleek to show this off to maximum effect.
Whatever you choose, I would advise that you do not veer too far away from your usual style, as though you want to look utterly fabulous, you still want to be yourself!
