What is a woman who does not like being dressed up? Dressing up is almost like a part of being a woman, and a woman looks so much more feminine and pretty when she dons on that dress. Yes, the dress. That ethereal woman looking outside the window pane is almost always visualized in a dress, looking almost like a fairy. There are many different kinds of dresses which are worn depending upon the body type.

The most famous among the dress styles is the Gown. Little young girls have grown up watching Disney princesses walking down with their princes in those spectacular gowns. Gowns are worn at special events, like say a gala or an opera performance. Women never say never to look dandy, one has to look good even in times when we eat, cocktail dress and the dinner dress is worn on special occasions when one has to make an impression. Then there is the prom dress, the dress that is supposedly to be extremely special, the graduation, meeting your friends for the last time. Women's dresses are extremely beautiful and the prettiest dress that a woman wears is her wedding dress.

Women's dresses are also divided upon the different styles of the cut. The most elegant among these styles is the Gown, the wedding dresses are more often than not the gowns, and these are the most feminine styles amongst dresses. There is the sunny sundress. It is a beautiful piece of art; it is dressy yet extremely comfortable 'these are worn generally in the summers or places where the temperature plays a spoiled sport all the time. Sheath dress, shift, maxi, tent etc. are all different styles of dresses that make a statement in their own way.

There have been many different styles that have been in vogue for some time now, and the traditional dresses have lost luster. The most beautiful creation of the modern times is the little black dress. This has done the fancy of people like never before. While the gown is now worn occasion, featuring only for weddings and proms.

Women's dresses are of different varieties the world over, each country has a special style that defines the culture. The one in Arabia is called Abaya; it is a special kind with long sleeves which covers the woman up. In India we have the sari and the salwar-kameez that is a little different than the western style consisting of more than one garment and extremely graceful at the same time.
