Footprints In The Sands of Time – Capturing Your Beach Wedding Memories

[ad_1]

Your wedding day is the first bookmark in your united journey. It is the day everyone wants to preserve forever. As that celebration fades further into the past, memories will be the treasured souvenirs that mark your day in the "sands of time." The sand ceremony represents a perfect way to root your union in memories that will last forever. Sand ceremonies are often considered substitutes for the unity candle ceremony in beach or outdoor wedding ceremonies. Yet, they truly can be an elegant accent to any wedding celebration.

In the ceremony, two different colors of sand are used; one which represents the groom and the other, the bride. They are held in separate vessels, and then simultaneously beloved into one to symbolize the union of two lives; therein creating a one-of-a-kind blend. While the sand that is used can be purchased almost anywhere, we suggest for steering ordering sand from a supplier and rather using sand from the beach on which your wedding (or maybe even honeymoon if you do one after the fact) is taking place. That will give it added meaning for all the years to come, knowing that you stand on the very sands you have now blended and adding further symbolism to the road you will walk together in the future. If you can not find two different colored sands on your beach, then try other sources that add personal touch: sand from near or where you grow up; from a foreign shore you served on while in the military; from the place where the two of you met; the possibilities are endless, and so too will be the memories if you take a little extra time for the details. The goal is to make is as personal as possible; the more it says about the two of you, the stronger and more meaningful the memory will be.

Another excellent idea is to ask each of your parents, your bridesmaids and groomsmen, your attendees, or any combination of these to find some sand on their own and bring it for you to use in the ceremony. All those associated with the bride will fill her vase and all those associated with the groom will fill his. Now, you not only have the beautiful memory of the ceremony, but each of those who have been special in your individual lives now are also part of the blended support structure that will bless your united life. They will have had their own personal touch added to the ceremony and will likely be honored by your request. In a way, it will be your guest's own wedding favor to you! Since wedding ceremonies are celebrations, what better way to celebrate than to have everyone involved!

The items required for the sand ceremony celebration are not extensive, but the memories they create will last a lifetime. After the ceremony, the unique sand piece can be placed in a prominent space in your household; holding the sands of your beginnings just as you hold each other … forever.
