Bad hair days are literally indispensable to most women especially those who have thin, baby-fine hair strands. This hair type requires maximum care to maintain. It turns limp and lifeless under the scorching summer heat and turns frizzy come winter season. Here are some helpful tips on how to tame those fine tresses.
After having a relaxing shower, blow-dry your hair. Remove the attached nozzle so as to avoid flat hair. Turn the blower into medium heat and use a vent hair brush to lift up the roots. When the hair is dry, blast it off with cool air. Then you can put on nice hair accessories like a headband or a pretty hair clip.
Not having enough volume is one of the major issues that come with having fine hair. Fortunately, there are ways on how to get some volume on your hair. Use a flat iron with round edges; take an inch of horizontal sections of hair and clamp it down at the roots. Then slowly rotate the flat iron away from the roots and hold for at least 15 seconds. After one layer is done, use a non-slip hair clip to secure it in place. Do the same step as you work your way underneath.
A volumizing shampoo and lightweight conditioner is recommended if you want glossy and sleek mane. Use a root-lifting spray on a damp hair and blow-dry with the help of a paddle brush.
Summer days may be over but you can still keep that sexy tousled beach-look hair every day. Use a curling iron to curl your hair. Wrap small sections of hair around the iron without closing the clamp down and hold for 10-15 seconds then unwrap. Gently comb through the curls to help loosen them up using your fingers. Top it off with a nice sparkly headband for a more free-spirited look.
Having your hair up in a bun will give you a more sophisticated look. You can do this by backcombing the crown of your head for an added volume. Create a deep side part and pull your hair into a low ponytail. Gently twist it to make a smooth bun. Use hairpins and hairspray to secure it in place.
