Sweetheart – The sweetheart is a low-ish cut and actually looks like the top half of a heart. Needless to say that if you've got a big bust and want to show off your assets then the sweetheart is for you as it will emboss a bigger bust. It's also reasonably high at the back and there before you could probably wear a bra for support.
Bateau – Bateau necklines are so glamorous. Think Jackie O and you're pretty much there. These necklines are very high, hugging the collarbone and will cover your bust area. This makes them good for smaller busts and shorter brides.
Square – The square neckline is cut square across the bust. Much like the scoop this is a style which is good for any shape.
Asymmetrical – A modern style where the neckline is diagonally across the body. One shoulder is covered, but because this style shows off a lot of shoulder and chest it is best to avoid a bra, therefore smaller busted brides will prefer this style. It is good at breaking up the curve of your body and so could be a good choice for brides who are not confident in their shape.
Strapless – If you want to show off your shoulders, bust and collarbone line then this style is for you. No straps and low-ish straight or slightly shaped neckline that hugs your shape and will show off your figure, this style is best for confident brides with medium or smaller busts as bras are probably a no.
Spaghetti Straps – Very similar to strapless but with, that's right, small and very thin cute straps. This will suit the same type of bride, those with a medium to small bust.
Off-The-Shoulder – This style is quite classic and hugs the collarbone line, held in place by small sleeves or straps just on or below your shoulder. This will not emboss your bust, but will show off your shoulders therefore it's a good style for curvy brides and those with bigger busts.
It's amazing that a small detail such as the type of neckline that you choose could make or break your outfit, but in fact it could take your dress from good to gorgeous and every bride wanted to look her best on this special day!
