Wedding Planning – Hair Styles

[ad_1]

When it comes to your hair on your wedding day it has to be right. Hair can make a big difference to how you feel, whether it's touching up those roots, glamming it up for a night out or simply your day to day style. Being neatly groomed makes you look and feel good about yourself, and this is exactly how you should feel on your special day. Before the wedding you should aim to have at least one or two hair trials so your hairdresser knows what they are working with, and you know you're getting something you will love.

When considering how you are going to be wearing your hair you should think about the style of your wedding dress and any accessories that will be worn on your head or in your hair to ensure they work well together. You should take these accessories to your practice sessions.

Your bridal hair should compliment and work in harmony with your wedding dress style. A strapless wedding dress would be fitted to a swept up hair style as revealing your neck and shoulders will in turn emphasize your dress and these features. An elegant chignon is ideally suited to a more formal celebration, whereas casually loose hair with a flower tucked behind your ear would be appropriate for a relaxedair in a field or a wedding on a beach. Your wedding dress neckline can also be an influence to your choice of whether to wear your hair up or down.

The accessories you choose will be a determining factor as they need to work with the hairstyle itself. Whether you have chosen a hairband, tiara or comb these all need to work with your hair and be able to compliment the style. If you have chosen to wear a veil then you will need to consider if you are to wear it with the blusher covering your face or have it pinned further down towards the nape of your neck. Your hairdresser is most likely to have styled many brides' hair in the past and with his or her experience that they will know what will work best with your individual accessories and any ideas you may have. Ensure you take them along with you to your practice runs so you can have a play around with them and decide the best way to wear them. Some brides may choose to have their hair done prior to a fitting to see how it all looks together, although unless your wedding dress is ready to try again, you'll have to imagine how it looks together.

Do ensure that your hairstyle is comfortable and you are happy with it. The last thing you want is to be itching or end up taking it down half way through the day. Whatever you choose it should be a reflection of your own individual style and personality. Going for something overtly wacky might scare your groom, he wants to be able to see the beautiful woman he has chosen to marry on your wedding day, not someone he barely recognizes!
