Wedding Speech

[ad_1]

Good preparation is at the heart of a good wedding speech. Firstly, decide what kind of speech you want before putting it together. Scribbling down a few notes a day before the wedding just does not cut it. If possible, start making notes as soon as you know about the speech. Then get to work a few weeks before the actual wedding day. The more prepared you are, the more confident you will be when you give your speech, and the more enjoyment you will get from it.

Break your speech down to headings and decide then what you will say under these headings. For example, say you are the best man. Write how and where you met the groom, talk about the wedding arrangements etc. Once you complete these headings, then arrange them in their best order.

During your speech preparation, always have a notebook to jot down ideas as they come to light. Also, have a tape recorder so you can practice your speech and gauge how long the speech is. Ask your family or friends to listen to the speech and arrange props relating to your speech.

In general, speakers at a wedding will simply be touching on sorts words to one another ending with a toast to the newly weds. It is generally the best mans speech that is most eagerly anticipated. The best mans speech is expected to liven things up a little by being witty and entertaining.

Good research can turn a mildly amusing speech into an arrogiously funny one. People love to hear about the groom and bride's family or early school days. So start early with your research and gather as much information as you can before compiling your wedding speech.
