So you've been asked to give a wedding toast or toasts as best man? Great – you think "no problem" – and say "I'd be honored." Then the penny drops with a clunk "but a speech! – what to say?" What style of wedding speech, a classic or traditional style or maybe a funny ad-lib type?

As the best man It's up to you to organize the bachelor or stag night. On the big day, you made sure the groom was tidy and on time ….. with the ring.

Phew! – that all went to plan, and now after a lovely meal its time for you to stand up and say …. "a toast." …. So far so good, but this next part is how most of the people in that room will remember you after the big day is over. The last thing you want is to crash and burn with your "words". Not to worry, by following this to the letter you'll have a killer wedding toast from a best best man that will impress the bride and groom and leave your audience with tears in their eyes.

* The usual wedding toast should be around the five minute mark to avoid that shuffling sound from your audience.
* The normal drill for speeches are in this order usually but there is no hard or fast rule in stone.
* Father of the bride – congratulations to all involved.
* The groom, thanking all friends and family fro turning up and for wonderful gifts.
* Next up – you. Best man traditionally concludes the men bringing witty words of wisdom to the table.
* Then the Ladies turn – usually Maid or matron of honor next but again, who wishes to say a few words. Often the bride who does not want to be outdone on her big day will stand up and thank people and announce the party is starting etc etc.

Whatever you're giving a father of the bride speech, the groom speech, the best man toast, or the maid of honor speech, there is an answer for you. You do not have to be a world renounced writer to write a memorable wedding speech. If you thought "I do not know where to start" and are still not sure then read on and before you know it, you have a memorable instant wedding toast.

Weddings are a stressful time, and by using a proven quality wedding speech, you're freeing up time to use on all your other wedding duties. Give a speech that's memorable to everyone in your audience, including the bride and groom. You'll know that on the wedding day, whether you're the father or the groom, the best man or the maid of honor, you can stand up and say "I'd like to propose a toast" with confidence.
