Plan Your Wedding – Get Yourself Organized and Know When to Do It

[ad_1]

Weddings are something that most women have dreamed about, thought about and possibly even planned since they were young girls. However, now that the time has come to marry the man you have fallen in love with, it will probably seem a lot hard and more overwhelming then your dreams, thoughts and plans implied.

Planning your wedding can be fun and exciting, if you do it right. Otherwise, the planning will probably be frustrating, aggravating, pull-your-hair-out, scream as loud as you can, awful. In fact I've known some couples that break up during the planning because of the stress and I know, including my brother and sister-in-law who planned their wedding multiple times, because as they got in to it, it was too overwhelming so the caounced it and pushed the date back.

In order, to fend off chaos and have the wedding go off without much pain, aggravation and tears, there are a few things you can do.

1. Think about planning this wedding as a big project and break it up into pieces that are easily managed, you can even break those pieces up as well. However, I would stick to just two levels of pieces otherwise it might become confused and overwhelming to break it all up so small.

2. Keep a calendar with deadlines. It is important to know when things must be done so you can get them done in time. In fact, it's best to set goals while planning this wedding and then have them in the calendar with dates to finish each task to meet your goal.

3. Keep your time organized and well managed. If you are in the middle of something already stressful like law school, or moving, then consider pushing the wedding back or cutting things out. Although a wedding can be fun and exciting it is stressful and the bigger you want it the more stressful it will be.

4. As soon as you are engaged both of you need to start a guest list and keep it with you. You do not want to offend a friend because you forgot them and invited a neighbor from when you were 10 to fill the list. I always recommend writing the list and then every week or two looking over it. Also always keep it with you so you can add people when you think of them.
