Creating a budget (and sticking to it) might be the most difficult part of planning a wedding. If we all had limitless amounts of money, creating the perfect wedding would be no problem! But most of us have a set budget, and the trouble is figuring out how to allocate that money. It's hard to know what the appropriate amount is to pay for wedding services, so we've created a general format to show you how most brides divvy up their budget. Once you've decided upon your budget, the details should look something like this:
14% The rings
02% Stationery
08% Miscellaneous
04% Flowers
05% Music
06% Attire
10% Photography
37% Reception and ceremony
14% Honeymoon
Example wedding budgets will give you an idea of what your budget might look like. Let's say you spend $ 15,000.00 on your wedding. Your budget will probably look something like this:
$ 2,100 ……… The Rings
$ 300 ………… Stationery
$ 1,20 ………… Miscellaneous
$ 600 ………… Flowers
$ 750 ………… Music
$ 900 ………… Attire
$ 1,500 ……… Photography
$ 5,550 ……… Reception and ceremony
$ 2,100 ……… Honeymoon
Obviously this is not set in stone, and there is a lot of wedding planner software out there that can help you create your own personalized budget. Having and following your own budget will make the next few months of your like much easier. Take the time to sit down with your future husband and prioritize what's important to you, and do your best to avoid impulse shopping! Good luck, and remember: above all, have fun!
