After helping dozens of brides with their wedding plans and purchases, I decided to create a list of my top five wedding planning tips.
Budget Early
It is very important to know your financial limits before you start planning your wedding. Lots of brides make the mistake of purchasing their decorations before having a clear idea of what they can and can not afford. This can be an annoyance in the best of circumstances.
Decide Theme before Purchases
When people first begin to plan their weddings, it is a common mistake to purchase and accumulate a large collection mismatched decorations. By deciding your theme from the beginning, you can potentially save a lot of time and money.
Look for Bargains
There are a dozen wedding stores for every decoration. Be smart and look for a better deal. When you think you have found something that you wish to purchase, I would recommend searching Google by the item's code. You can often shave 10% to 20% off of the total cost.
Buy from Brides
Sometimes brides order too much of an item, or they find something else that they wish to buy. When this happens they are often stuck with hundreds of dollars of extra product. What is unfortunate for them is a good thing for you because the brides will often sell their goods for a much cheaper price. To find these brides, search for online wedding trading forums.
Talk with Brides
Try to find an active wedding forum where you can ask questions. You can save yourself a lot of trouble by using a forum to learn helpful tips and common pitfalls.
