Affordable Wedding Ideas

[ad_1]

Planning a wedding can be a challenging affair depending on how lavish the plans are. I have been to a number of weddings in my lifetime, and the best ones are the events that capture the essence of the couple, and not necessarily the parties that were held at the Four Seasons Hotel. So if a couple is laid back and likes to take things easy in real life, then a beach wedding might be a refreshing idea. The bottom line is that the wedding budget should not be a stressful factor and it is possible to plan an affordable wedding that encompasses the true reason for the occasion, which is the unity of two individuals who want to spend the rest of their lives together.

Everyone knows the largest portion of the wedding budget is usually taken up by the wedding location and the catering service. Other details like the invitations, the rings, fittings for the wedding party (getting the right wedding dress is, of course, an important part of the wedding), the cake, flower arrangements, honeymoon and others put together make up pretty much the rest of the budget.

Instead of cutting down on the smaller wedding details, it would be a lot easier to focus on managing the money that will be spent on the wedding venue and catering service. Here, it is important to remember not to cut the budget too much because it is a once in a lifetime event, but to make it a memorable celebration for your family and friends. Instead of having the reception where the arrangements will be made according to head count, why not ask a good friend or a family member who has a large backyard if they would offer that space so you can customize the layout according to your taste and preferences. This will allow you, your partner, and your guests to be more comfortable as it is in a less formal setting.

Another affordable wedding tip is to plan your honeymoon a few months after the wedding. While this idea may be a little unusual, having your honeymoon later will allow you and your partner to recuperate after the wedding and put your entitlement focus on planning for the honeymoon. This way, you will not be distracted by the actual wedding plans and will know exactly how much money you have left after the wedding so you will not be in danger of going over the wedding budget.

Whatever wedding plans you have, remember that it is one day of your life, and you do not want to get in debt and spend the next few years paying for it.
