If you are planning a wedding and wondering where to go on your honeymoon that will not cost an arm and a leg, here are five honeymoon destinations for those on a budget.
1. Take a cruise. For some reason a lot of people think cruises are very expensive. The reality is they are probably one of the cheapest "nice" vacations you can take assuming you're not going on a luxury cruise. The benefit of a cruise is you have everything included for one price. The cruise lines compete with each other and there before you can often get a great deal for very low price. Another benefit as you will get to explore many fun and exciting towns each time your ship docks.
2. Kauai, Hawaii is another relatively inexpensive honeymoon destination. This is a great place to go for great deals on hotels, relaxing beaches, and very often exciting surfing competitions to watch. You can often find great deals on airfare to Hawaii, and once there you will not need to spend a lot of money because there are many free or cheap activities. What could be more relaxing than strolling along the beach enjoying the pristine sand and water, soaking up some sun in a lounge chair, and enjoying watching the incredible and talented surfers for free. There are usually luaus you can attend, often free, and even Hula dancing lessons if you wish for low or no cost. Transportation is easy in this area as well and you will probably not need to spend a lot of money for that either.
3. Denver, Colorado. The scenery alone is worth the visit to Denver. As honeymoon destinations go this one is a beauty. There's lots to do in downtown Denver, and of course plenty of hiking, skiing, horseback riding, biking, and exploring to keep you busy all day if you do not wish to just stroll around the town. This is a great city for those on a budget as there are so many inexpensive and even free activities to choose from.
4. Cancun, Mexico. Here is another relaxing beach destination to spend your honeymoon. There are always great airfare deals going to Cancun, and once there you can find some great deals on hotels for the budget-minded or if you want to spend a little bit more for moderate price. There are hotel accommodations for every budget. You can eat fairly low cost in Cancun and there are a lot of free activities you can enjoy during the day such as lounging on the beach or just exploring the city at a leisurely pace.
5. Key West, Florida. For a serene and peaceful honeymoon, this is one of the best honeymoon destinations. You will enjoy the warm sun, the long stretches of pure white sand, and of course the ocean. The town itself is quaint and full of interesting sights and people, and you can have a very relaxing honeymoon people-watching, shopping, dining, and sightseeing.
