There is one day that stands out above all others in a girl's life, it is her wedding day! It is the day when she relinquishes her single status and becomes joined to her chosen partner in life, accordingly, her wedding dress is among the very first decisions she will make after her initial decision to marry. The future bride and her groom will usually focus on the kind of wedding they will want? Of course, the wedding dress and its color will be of prime importance. Traditionally, the white wedding dress has been the predominant color, however, today it has become quite optional; in fact, the style of the dress is now optional too. Many colors and styles grace the wedding ceremony.
Traditional, lifestyle, design
The wedding dress is now a statement of lifestyle rather than belief or tradition that will be reflected in the choice you will finally make. Some feel nostalgic about the past but it is the brides day, and her dress is the expression of her personality and maybe, her beliefs too. Whether traditional or modern, there are now so many styles and materials available for making the dress, the actual range of choice is huge. Naturally the choice of material will have a bearing on its cost if you decide to have it made for you. Some of the more traditional materials used are, brocade, satin, silk organza, cotton, nylon, lace or a combination of all or some of them. If you are to have your dress made, do make sure you use a recommended dressmaker and that the fittings are carried out to your satisfaction
Buying a wedding dress
This means finding a suitable retailer in your locality who stocks a wide range of options in order to check on style, quality and prices or it may be that the same retailer has a dress making service. Of course the complexity of the dress and the materials chosen will impact on the price of the dress whether you have it made or buy it ready made.
Hiring a wedding dress
It has become very common these days for the bride to hire her dress and there are very good facilities for this option in most locales. It is wise to check out the range of garments the provider has available and whether the contract is fully covered by insurance but hiring a dress usually means that you are able to wear a more expensive garment on your wedding day and that you do not have the problem of storing the dress when your special day is over. Neverheless, it is recorded on your photographs and the wedding video for all time, so the better the quality the better the remembrance.
