Everybody has heard about the 1000 year old magnificent Windsor Castle, but River Thames is also a entertainment hub. To experience all this and much more, you will have to fly to Heathrow or take a 30 minutes drive from London.

It is often referred to as New Windsor as the Windsor village still exists not far. Lot of tourists do shopping in the supermarkets. Its has been home to many Royal members.

Just around Windsor Castle is the Frogmore mansion, a private white place for the royal family. Windsor Leisure Center and Windsor Skate Park can get you some action and keep the adrenalin pumping.

The world renovated Savill gardens are located here and huge oak trees just take you back in time. The beauty and great variety of herbs, flowers and plants are stunning.

Windsor is located Berkshire, England. There is Mexican, Indian, Thai, Japanese and Italian menu for eating out. To catch a movie, Firestation Center For Arts and Culture is the place.

There are guided walking tours and bus tours. On the bus you can see the Windsor Castle and Queen Victoria statue. Further you can also touch down on Old Windsor on your way.

There are small really awesome pubs like The Two Brewers on Park Street and The Royal Oak Pub. Windsor was home to Queen Elizabeth II for a long time.

Windsor Central Station is right in the heart of the city and train is the major mode of transport. Its is a city which has something for everyone. Bird watching on River Thames is worth a stop. The Windsor Great park is the home to many rabbits, roe deer and foxes.

There is also a legend about a forest keeper who saved the king and later was hunged called Herne The Hunter. Windsor Guildhall is the beautiful building where Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles were pronounced husband and wife.
