There are so many styles of modest wedding dresses to choose from that the mind boggles and after paging through a few magazines sometimes you feel totally overwhelmed by the huge choice of wonderful dresses available to you.
Every Bride wants her to be the most special, most beautiful dress of all and this idea in itself tends to create an atmosphere of pressure. Trust me, yours will be one of the best modest wedding dresses and I know this because once it comes to walking down the isle and saying your vows, if you are marrying the man you love you would feel like a princess wearing a toga sheet and green ivy leaves in your hair.
So do not let the pressure get to you. Know with confidence that whichever dress you select will be the right one and go with your gut instinct. The first choice is usually the most accurate.
Here are some ideas to make your modest wedding dresses easier:
1. If you are feeling overwhelmed – take a break from it!
2. Ask your Mom, Sister or a good girlfriend to look at the magazines with you and get their input
3. Make a final selection of no more than 5 dresses or dress styles
4. Tear out the pages of these 5 dresses or cut around them, which is sometimes nicer and stick them on your mirror. If you are already living with your soon to husband husband it will be best to put them in your diary, but choose somewhere you will be able to see them often
5. Often after a few days the right choice will become obvious to you. If it does not seem any clearer try meditating a little. Simply take a good look at these 5 choices then relax, close your eyes and breathe evenly and deeply. As you do so, imagine yourself walking down the isle. Hear the music, smell the flowers. Feel the air on your skin and when you have a perfectly clear image in your mind, still with your eyes closed (in real time) look down to see what dress you are wearing.
If this does not work at first it is only that you have not relaxed enough, so try again on another day and enjoy imagining the whole scene as many times as you like until you know with certainty which modest wedding dresses will be the one. "Come on! It's not like you have not done this a million times before!"
