Golden Wedding Speeches – Awesome Guide – 3 Top Tips

[ad_1]

You too can make golden wedding speeches if you follow my tips and tricks on writing. I never thought that it would be this easy to make a wedding speech. I just followed some guides from the Internet and I was on my way to writing a very inspirational speech that everyone, especially the newlyweds, can be proud of. It is a great feeling to impart a good message that will leave a profound impact on everyone.

Before I wrote my speech, I was stressing out that I cannot make a golden wedding speech. I was so anxious about this that I was not able to sleep weeks before the wedding. It was my brother’s wedding, and I was tasked to deliver a speech and a toast to help liven up the wedding. I was stressed because I have no real experience writing. In fact, the last time I wrote was during college where I was doing some term papers.

Thank goodness for the Internet I found some guides and tricks on how to write golden wedding speeches. This is the first thing I did when I was calm enough to seek help from the Internet. I scoured on a good search engine and I found some answers on how to write a better speech. Allow me to share some of the knowledge I leaned.

First, you have to assess your audience. Since you already know that this is going to be a wedding, then you already know to keep the language light and conversational. Don’t worry about grammar initially since you are just writing the first draft. After you are finished, have someone edit your work.

Second, follow the rule of KISS, or keep it short and simple. As I said before, just use conversational English. Do not use dictionary words because you want to cater to a wide range of audience from children to adults. Use short sentences to be coherent and succinct.

Third, choose a single theme and then stick to it. Just choose one topic and stay with it all throughout the speech. You can tell a lot of anecdotes or jokes, but do not stray from your main topic. This is basically the same as a thesis statement to help you focus your writing.

The theme mentioned above will help you also focus your point as well. You have to end the speech with a point to impart to your audience and to the newlyweds. Your point can either be comical or inspirational, just as long as you gave something valuable to your audience that they can leave feeling good about the matrimony.
